I am trying to order my curriculum for when he gets a little bit older. It's all so confusing anyway I narrowed it down... math U see or TERC... Has anyone taught the TERC curriculum to their child an if so did you like it?

I was going to do Jones G but on another forum they said its just "Parlor Tricks" an they are not really learning "real math".... So unfortunately I just can't get the word "Parlor tricks" out of my head, makes me cringe every time I think of it. So we are not doing the Jones G program anymore. Probably will be Math U See then Abacus a little later.

Take it with a grain of salt, those are the same folks who said babies reading is a parlor trick too! I want my kids to learn both ways (shortcuts and concepts), but we are still on the early learning program so I don't have to decide for a while. Just wanted to point that out.  happy
