Have little time, so, will answer all the ananswdred question in one post:
6) Have any users that developed PP reported pictorial or even color associations when hearing the notes? (i.e., does the mental imagine of a door flash upon hearing Do/C)
The pictorial and color association with the sound is not necessary a case that comes together with perfect pitch by default. Some people associate the pitches with certain colors – composers Scriabin and Rimsky – Korsarov, for instance, but their color association with pitches differs. I find it very naïve and unprofessional to claim that if to teach each note through a color it will help to develop perfect pitch. It is not true!
7) Is the PP long term or does it fade from lack of use if a user stops using the program?
Forever. Ttth is absolutely right!
About new songs for Soft Mozart. After invention had been developed, we experiencing HUGE rejection waives from all music industry and basically first 10 years were struggle due to that matter. Music teachers, music publishers, music major key – player try to belittle our invention as much as they came trying to claim that Soft Mozart ‘just another way of teaching beginners music’.
The matter or fact is: it is ONLY way.
We are working on creating a converter that will turn any score or MIDI file into Soft Mozart interface. How soon is it going to happen depends on our customers. The company completely depends on the word of mouth. The more members we’ll have – the stronger we’ll get.

HH,
There are several educational companies out there (including BrillKids) that donate their software to schools and non-profit organizations as they are able. At my daughter's Russian school they also offer piano lessons and some computers to play music software. The owner/director just moved into a bigger building so they could expand the Russian school. If you are open to donating to schools, maybe she would be interested in using the program at her school and then if parents enjoy it, they may all want to buy it for home use as well. Do you offer an affiliate program such as
shareasale
, so that if the teacher refers her students and their parents to purchase it, a portion of the proceeds would be funneled back into the school. Many BrillKids parents may also be interested in this as well to promote SM on their blogs or to playgroups, etc.
If you are open to this kind of idea, I will message you contact info/website for my daughter's school.

Yes, I have read extensively about synesthesia and find it fascinating. Many people with perfect pitch commonly state they have color associations, which is why I asked about the pictorial associations as I was curious if it carried over.

The Eguchi method that is popular in Japan relies on colored flags and from what I heard, at one point they had over a thousand kids on their waitlist. The colors may simply be a vehicle for note identification while the ears are "doing the work," but nevertheless color associations are integral part of their very successful program.

(I have emailed this program countless times for more information, so good luck to whoever tries! If they get back to you, please share with the group.

This was my understanding based on everything I have read. I know that in general PP is "permanent," but I just wanted to ensure that this held true for SM as well since it is a unique approach.

That is very exciting, I hope that you are able to reach that goal soon. Perhaps you can try and secure some funding (donated?) to get some studies done to legitimize SM in the music world. Are there any music conservatories in Russia that are more open to this type of teaching to potentially help conduct a study?

I am not going to enter into a philosophical debate, but I will agree to disagree. In my opinion, there is room enough for many methods, whether they are computer based, traditional piano teaching, flag training, DVD's, etc. and each brings something different to the table. In my perspective, just about all music programs all have some inherent value, they all have a place, and each individual should explore and choose what program best meets their needs.
Lastly, I already taught my children color/note associations before introducing SM (courtesy of Trebellina, YCCD, and similar programs). I do not regret doing so and we still use color in many instances. This is probably sacrilege in the world of SM, but we are still using both concurrently. I transitioned them using a floor chart. The keyboard still has colored circles on the keys and the SM symbols are above the keys. They are having no challenges with this at 2 & 3 years old. Just thought I would share this in case anyone else found themselves in a similar situation. Pics to follow.

I think, we have some confusion in understanding, what Soft Mozart is, since it is not a ‘method’ but rather a tool to any method of teaching music with Grand Staff.
I understand where the confusion is coming from. We look like a computer game like synthesia or piano wizard, we also a ‘method to teach piano’ in a way. This is why we are being compared or sometimes opposed to others.
But if to look at Soft Mozart outside the music box – it is an invention that just explains Grand Staff by making it obvious, bold, visual and interactive.
Here is an example. Today kids know the letters of Alphabet with the pictures and words that phonetically connected with them. Today kids’ books are having large print and limited amount of lines on page and this is quite common. But 100 ago there were many ‘methods’ and ‘approaches’ that were trying to teach beginners using original small print with many lines and no pictures. There were even methods (unbelievably) that colored certain letters or words believing that it would help beginners see this small print better.
When finally people FOCUCED on one letter at a time, added a picture to it, then created ABC books and children’s books – everything became effective in learning/teaching literacy.
So, Soft Mozart is just ABC, picture book, chapter book or original visual format of music text. On the top of that it is also interactive. This is not a ‘method’ – it is an essential tool of learning music literacy.
We have a video explanation just in case if you didn’t see it:
http://www.youtube.com/v/5sMGHC3A2aM&rel=1
Hope this explanation will help.

Hehe I can see where you two crossed wires
what Soft Mozart means by " only way" is that to learn the grand staff is the only way to get effective music education. She doesn't mean the only program worth using. In fact she is encouraging using LR files for teaching solfege along with SM. It does seem from what I have seen that soft Mozart is possible the easiest way to teach grand staff to kids ( oh and adults too!) if you are happy to teach two programs I can't see it would be a problem, my kids will 'do formal lessons in CDE through school and soft Mozart in do re me. So in effect we are doing the same thing but you are doing colours instead of CDE. If you are also teaching visualization skills ( mandala, photo eye play ect) then adding colours would most likely enhance your child's ability to pick it up quickly.
Softmozart have just started an affiliate program, you can sign up throughout their forum, and often offers big discounts to schools in exchange for promotion. So if you think the school may be interested then send the details.
Oh and well done to your little pianist, picking up hot cross buns after about 10 tries. It took my oldest 7 months of piano lessons to get that far. My next girl will probably be bored in her beginner lessons!

Well,
I have to chime in as well...
I definitely agree that we are all free to make our choices and pick a tool that works better for us.
But I also think that
not all of the educational programs are equally good and not all of them will give you solid results
...
So I that is why my advice to everyone who truly wants that their child learn the Grand Staff and playing piano:
Please, stop waiting, stop researching, stop spending your money on the products that do not work...
Give SoftMozart program a chance, and you will not regret!

I started using SoftMozart program 7 weeks ago and can definitely tell you that SoftMozart does work and works fast and results will blow you away!
My daughter is learning to play various songs using SM program, she is learning Note Alphabet,
I have always SoftMozart forum to turn for advice and guidance.
I truly believe that for a child under 5 years old this program is optimal choice. After my DD will advance further we will be combining SM with traditional piano lessons.
The SM program lets you bring out the music genius in your child!
That is why I do not think It will be fair if I would say that all are programs deserve a spot under the sun...
I really wish that all of them were coming with customer ratings in stars, like stuff on Amazon

I have to share this one with you!
My friend's DD is 5 years old, she received SoftMozart Software and Keyboard as a Christmas present!
This is her progress after a month of using the program:
"We have not had a lot of time to practice the piano this week, because Nastya is getting ready for her ballet concert and she had a lot of practice, sometimes for four hours. However, she still tried to play the piano each day. But I didn't give her a new staff to learn as I did not want her to feel exhausted.
Our progress so far:
1. She plays her exercises every day. Most often she plays two on one day, and the other two the next day. On weekends, she played all of them.
2. She played JB, OTJ, Christmas Tree, FS, HCB without software. Today, however, she played these songs with computer on , but notes are hidden. She was very happy, when she made no mistakes, and her delay was from 4 to 10.
3. She practiced playing Old McDonald. I She learnt it by 3 parts, and today tried to play the whole song by both hands. Her third attempt was 85/88 and t+40
4. She also started to sight read the premier nursery songs on presentation 2 (She doesn't like presentation 4,5 yet. I don't want to push her too much. I am sure she will ask for it when time comes.) here is her results( she played the song only once):
Tom,Tom, the Piper's Son - 26/30 -t 35
The Farmer in the Dell - 33/33 - t30
The Little Indians - 38/40 - t27
5. Her score for the Note Alphabet Game is 456.
6. She really likes to play with flash cards. Today we had time, so we started to use flash cards to learn skipping the note. We sort the cards by the order, and then Nastya flipped every other card, and sing what left. Then we played her most loved game: Pick a card and tell the notes starting with the one on the card. We tried to make it more difficult, and tell the sequence by skipping one note. It was challenging for her, but she liked it. Every time she didn't know what note follows, she looked at her keyboard.
I see that she is enjoying the program, and asks to play every day. it's just amazing. I never thought that without music background I would be able to help my child to learn play the piano, and learn myself. thank you for all who made it possible"

Very excited to find out that DD has PP across the whole keyboard (white keys) and and likely DS too, but it was hard to tell with him.
I bought a huge bag of colored balls from Walmart a month or two ago that happened to match the Roy G Biv note colors we have been teaching them. As I played the notes, they happily selected the right balls and rolled them down some ramps we made, right into a bucket. They could not get enough of this game! I learned it from the aforementioned gentleman in this thread teaching pp classes in CA, as inspired by WHaP (although I have not even made it through one whole chapter of their book yet). What an amazing way to test them and have them
very willingly
participate! The color system has definitely worked well for us as a great form of learning and note expression. We will still continue on with learning piano of course, but this is great news for my kids. I'll try to catch some on video later!
After learning solfege songs in LMs, Lily would try to play the songs herself on the keyboard. I added colored dots to the keyboard that I had on hand from an office supply store that I colored with markers. I stuck them to the keyboard and ran a lonooong piece of shiny scotch tape over the length of the keyboard to "laminate" the colored dots and keep them from smearing. After that, I took a knife and just ran it between all the keys so each individual key would have a separate piece of tape on it without the pain of applying each piece individually. (I hope that made sense).
I had tried to test Lily previously to July without any success. In the last 6 months, all I have introduced is LMs and a random piano learning DVD that she got for Christmas that she has only been watching on and off for a couple of weeks. So, logic would lead me to conclude that PP was courtesy of LMs!
