Adjectives are the words that describe the world. They are used to describe nouns and give more information about things. We use adjectives on our everyday conversation to convey information or add interest to what we’re talking about. They can change the tone of a sentence or even the meaning of it and therefore is one of the most fundamental building blocks in good communication.
The first thing to do when teaching your kids adjectives is to choose one concept to work on. Start with simple concept such as color or shapes. For example, color: red, blue, yellow (bag) ; sizes: small, medium, big (chair)...etc. Find out more adjectives concept at

The second idea for kids to learn adjective is pick up a child friendly book and flip through the pages with your child. Have your child to circle the adjectives words in the book.
