Hi everyone,
I mentioned in another thread how I capture for example Litte Reader categories (or anything else) playing on my computer screen in order to save them and burn them to DVD. I think it would be helpful if I start a new topic so everyone can see this and use this advice.
There are many computer programs that enable it. I use program SNAGIT that let you capture anything played on your computer screen (for example categories of Little Reader) and then burn it and play on DVD player for my daughter. We have a camcorder but it is so easier to use the program instead, I just select that I want to record, I select the area of the screen to record (fullscreen), push start, play Little Reader categories, push stop and then Save it. The sound needs to be captured through microphone but it is still very easy. You should try it.
You can download free SNAGIT trial version here.
http://www.techsmith.com/screen-capture.asp I hope it will work with the trial version (I have the full one).
Before I burn it I use video converter to make it DIVX to play it on DVD. You can edit video if you want in any of video editing programs - there are plenty of them that you can download and use.
Good luck.
Here are some examples what I captured in Video Gallery.
