Dear All,
I caught the Dr. Phil show today, and it was about parents being in debt because of their children.
There was a special guest, Susan Beachem, who created the "Money Savvy Pig" piggy bank that gives the children the choice to either: save/spend/donate/invest. It is really cool and has even won an award.
And what I liked the most is what she says about why we should teach our children to be smart about money: "A parent is the most influential teacher in a child's life - especially when it comes to money. If you want to instill good money habits in your children, and are looking for help, Money Savvy Generation offers parents a creative, child-friendly educational program that teaches personal finance basics in a fun, approachable way to ensure that the learning sticks."
