We've done Doman old-style since 11 months. She's 2.5 now. At about 18 months she started reading words, but won't now. I keep flashing words, but we've started Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons to focus more on phonics. She likes it. I think the variety is what was missing.
Also, it seems she is learning more things orally now. She learns well through music and has an excellent memory. We're not really a success story for traditional Doman. I do think it was time well-spent, though.
