Are you teaching them traditional or simplified Chinese? Also, where are you located? If you are in the US, you could check out these online sites for chinese books, dvds, and educational toys:
www.chinasprout.comwww.asianparent.comI am teaching my daughter traditional Chinese and I have found it quite difficult to find books in traditional in the US (Most of the graded readers and content-based books I like are in simplified. We recently made a trip to Taiwan and we came back with 2 suitcases full of books and dvds!) If, however, you are teaching simplified Chinese and can read Chinese, then you should be able to find a lot of good stuff on those two sites I mentioned above.
There is also a subscription-based Chinese learning program called 巧虎 that I highly highly recommend. Basically, it is a monthly children's book that comes with a monthly DVD, educational toy, activity book and learning math book. The DVD features 巧虎 and children talking and singing in Chinese. It has several segments in the DVD each month - science segment and animal of the month, music and movement, storytime segment, math segment, good manners segment (like how to answer the phone, saying I'm sorry, etc.), and good habits segment (like eating your veggies, hand washing, brushing teeth, using the potty, etc.) It comes in different levels for different ages and is probably the BEST investment in learning Chinese that I have made!
