Where can I get the slides from with regards to Doman method?

hello Gracie T,basically you could make yours up depending on what you want to teach your child.Doman actually said to write them quite big on paper, the exact dimensions are in the book(how to teach your baby to read), there have however been lots of modifications to the Doman method to include multisensory learning as in little reader, so instead of your child just being able to read the words, he'she would know exactly what it means cos the lessons have videos and pictures as well. with LR you could customize the lessons to suit your child. i know it's a bit costly but it's really excellent, if however you really can't afford it at the moment, there's the option of just making your own powerpoint presentations.

Thanks Zoe, I would like the deluxe pack which includes dvd,book and flashcards.I rang the USA no. to order and was quoted $77 plus $72 postage to the UK. So a def no no as far as theats concerned. A little disappointed really.

hello Gracie T, you could try ebay or amazon, i got mine from ebay, i didn't buy the deluxe edition, just the 5 DVDs and the game cards, inc p&p came to about £40, i think i could have got it cheaper, but i put in my bid already. try looking there anyway.

Hi Zoe, I have looked for the dvd and cards on ebay and amazon but nothing.. I ordered the book this morning but I would not mind the dvds .. If anyone knows where I can purchase them from or no longer need them, just name the price. I really want my 6 month old to have a kick start when it comes to academics..

maybe wait a few days and check ebay again.I bought mine about a month ago and there seemed to be quite a lot there. so maybe for some reason, it's just out of stock now. you could go to the swap shop on brillkids and put up a post to find out if anyone wanted to sell.

did you get the ybcr book? i want to get one too, if i may ask where did you buy it?

It'll really explain everyhing to you re the teaching schedule etc which may seem quite confusing initially.

I am so glad to have found this thread!  I have been coming on this site for months and months now, but never knew if anyone else was in the UK.  I am American but have lived here 8 years.  My dd is 2 yrs 4 mo and we mostly do reading and Physically Superb stuff.  Plus I have adopted the idea of teaching a baby/toddler anything and everything, so we work on other stuff like writing, geography, etc.  All my friends think kids shouldnt learn anything except nursery rhymes till they go to school!  So I just keep everything we do a secret rather than get into the discussions.

I am pregnant and got the book How Smart Is Your Baby and almost have all the materials prepared for the baby for when she is born!  My husband is making a brachiation ladder just now for dd and when he is done, I will get him to make a crawling track for the baby.

I have been feeling like I am the only person in this whole country doing any of this stuff and would love to just know you guys are out there too!

Hi everyone! I am in London. Have discovered Glenn Doman very recently and am now constantly reading his books and browsing the blogosphere and youtube for his followers. I was very sceptical at first sight but thought I'll give "How to teach your child to Read" a go, and upon reading the book I was won over. I am actually an experimental / cognitive psychologist by training - although I never worked as a psychologist as I pursued a business career instead. But once I had my daughter, I rediscovered my interest in early education and cognitive psychology. It's really interesting how a lot of things people assume about babies are not true. I've been trying some of Doman's physically superb exercises with my second baby, and the difference in what she can do to the first one is staggering. My 2 month old now is easily at the level where my first born daughter was when she was about 6 months. Maybe it's a coincidence, but I don't think so. I am a total Doman newbie so am extremely curious to learn about personal experiences of other members on this forum - from a personal and a scientific standpoint :-).
