Thanks for the screenshot -- it definitely made things clearer for me as I am not familiar with the Thai language
This is actually not a problem in Little Reader itself, rather it's because of the default font that Windows "selected" automatically. LR always came with 4 default fonts (in Roman letters), however when using certain languages (e.g., Chinese, Japanese, Thai, etc.) the fonts LR will use would be determined by the Windows language pack installed in your computer, and sometimes there will be display problems that come up (just like the one in your screenshot). To address this issue we've added a custom font option in LR 2.0, which will let you use your preferred font types (that you know can display your word correctly).
To change
all your Thai lessons' font type to a custom one:
- Go to the Advanced Play/Edit screen and toggle Playlists or Categories
- Select all your Thai lessons by holding down your SHIFT (or CTRL) key while selecting Playlists or Categories. When you do this you'll notice that in the right-hand panel, a new button labeled "Edit Playlists" or "Edit Categories" will appear -- click on this button to open the "Edit Multiple Items" window.
- Find the "Words" section and set your Font Type to "custom" and you will be asked to select the font you want to use.
- Click on the APPLY button to finalize this setting for the selected lessons.
While the Edit Multiple Items function seems similar to the Override function (introduced in LR 1.6), the main difference is that whatever playback settings you set in Edit Multiple Items will be those particular lessons'
default playback setting (i.e., it's permanent until you reset or change the settings later on). Override, when turned on, will change settings for everything
temporarily because the playback settings for each lesson would still remain in their original settings.
