Hi Nadia!
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly

We suspect that your friend was using Internet Explorer to download the content files - If this is the case, then perhaps when your friend downloaded Semester 1 and 2 content files before, the files she got were zip files, and not the Little Reader content files which she could import (*.lrp).
We found that this is an IE bug.

As it turns out, IE 8 has been causing this file renaming issue. IE (since IE6) has this automatic file extension renaming issue which Microsoft has apparently not fixed even in its upgrade to IE8 and this is what is affecting our content files. It’s quite odd though that this problem is still there, but it’s good to know what the source is so we can suggest a workaround for everyone who is still using Internet Explorer as their primary web browsers.
As such, you can just use the same Semester 1 and 2 content files, and do either of these two suggestions:
1. Re-download the content files using another browser, if available (we recommend Mozilla Firefox).
o Once you've downloaded the files completely, just double-click on each (start with Semester 1) and Little Reader will automatically open to import your lessons.
2. A faster way is by simply renaming the content files you downloaded before back to their original file extension, ".lrp"
o Open your Windows Explorer window and find the folder where you saved your downloaded content files
If you are using Windows XP: - Click on the Tools menu, and select "Folder Options"
- In the Folder Options window, toggle the "View" tab
- From the list of options, find the item "Hide extensions for known file types" and un-check the corresponding box
- Click on Apply, and then click OK
If you are using Windows Vista or 7: - Click on the Layout button (leftmost button, beside the Views button), and select "Folder Options"
- In the Folder Options window, toggle the "View" tab
- From the list of options, find the item "Hide extensions for known file types" and un-check the corresponding box
- Click on Apply, and then click OK
o Next, simply right-click on one of the content files and select "Rename"
o Replace the ".zip" part of the filename with ".lrp" ("l" here is a small "L," not a capital "i")
o Press Enter, and then do the same for the other content file
o After renaming your content files, just double-click on each to import your Little Reader lessons.
I know this is a little bit lengthy, but if you can pass on the fixes to your friend, this could be a great help

Do let me know how it goes, and thank you so much for helping us help your friend!
