Internet Access needed for LR trial?

Is Internet access required for LR Trial or the program itself?

I'm on a Mac, and while I have windows, there is no Internet on that "side".  Would it be possible to download the trial on the Mac side, burn to disc and then put on the windows side?

Unfortunately, BrillKids Learning Systems do not officially support Mac operating systems. You may refer to our system requirements in these pages:

You do need internet access just to primarily download the trial version. For the full version you would need the internet to verify the license key (You do not need a license key for the trial version).

However, it would be possible to download the trial on the Mac side, burn to disc or on a Flash drive and then install and use on the Windows side.

It didn't work. We need flash and some other things from online.  Trying to fix it so we have Internet through windows 

Here's another question: does the trial expire 14 days after you download it or 14 days after you activate it? (its on a different name, my husband did his own sign-in not knowing I had already).

I got it working!!

I did need internet access, but everything is working smoothly so far on our Mac.  Will try the program with both kids later today, but it looks even better than I imagined.  I'm so excited!

That's great to hear! We can offer only a little help with running or troubleshooting LR on Mac (we haven't been testing with a real Mac environment yet), but perhaps you can also ask other Mac users here and see how they do it.

About the 14-day trial period, our system starts counting once you've installed LR trial, and not when you download the file. As for Internet connection, this is only required for certain features of Little Reader, such as the Latest News, Downloads, Progress Diary, etc. Otherwise, if you are looking to simply playing or personalizing lessons, then you can definitely use LR offline.

And yes, you will need to have a Flash Player installed too. There are a few more required software such as the Microsoft .NET Framework, but this is usually installed with Windows Vista and Windows 7 by default.
