Regarding the problem with pronunciations getting cut off in Little Math, I suggest that you try our suggested solutions for this type of problem -- please refer to this topic:

In the meantime, turning Auto Forward OFF is always a good option. To do this for
everything, or as the default setting, what you need is the
Override function (you can find this in both LR and LM):
- Open LR/LM
- Go to the PLAYBACK screen, and find the Play Panel (this is long panel at the bottom of the screen)
- Click on the "Override" button so that the light turns green to turn it on (left side of the Play Panel)
- Next, click on the cog wheel button beside the Override button. An "Override Settings" window will pop up, and here you can set Auto Forward OFF:
- In Little Math, you will find the Auto Forward setting under the "Common" tab
- In Little Reader, you will find it in the "Auto Forward Settings" section at the bottom of the window
About the "random" problem, this is indeed an issue we are incidentally fixing in time for the next version of Little Reader (coming very very soon!)
For now, I would advise you to just do the "random" playback order setting only for the Word / Picture Flash lessons because in these lessons, there are no Category titles that would get "randomized" too.
