Transfering to new computer

Greetings!  We recently installed LR on our desktop and are planning to use the second license for a computer at school.  (Daughter has down syndrome and planning to use this program for her reading curriculum at school next yr.).  Unfortunately our computer quit working properly and i have a new laptop on order to arrive next week.  How can we install LR on our new computer without compromising our 2nd license option?   Thanks for your help.

BEM, I am glad to hear that you will be using Little Reader in your daughter's curriculum as well, do share how it is going when you will start. We always keep to hear of the progress of all the little ones!

About the license. Simply go to your account ( little cog wheel at the right top corner of BK forum), then chose "My purchases" > "Little Reader"> "Curriculum and license keys" ( on the left menu)

At this point you will be able to see the record of your license key activation. Simply choose "Remove activation" from the computer you are not planning to use. This will free you a spot for activating products on your new computer.

Kindly note that you have 5 chances to remove activation and activate license on a new computer. If you need assistance, we are always here and happy to help.

hi.  Thanks for your reply in helping me begin to transfer our LR from old (broken) comp to new laptop.  I tried to get started on that today but have run into a road-block.  I was able to remove activation as per your instructions.  But now upon trying to download it onto new computer i am having some trouble.  I believe the instructions are to click on license code to begin downloading.  When i do that i get this message:  "do you want to allow this wbvsite to open an app on your computer?  Allow or Cancel."  When i click allow i get this message:  "No apps are installed to open this type of link.  Look for an app in the store."  When i try that i get this message:  "we can't find any apps that match....". 

This is a brand new laptop that has Windows 8 on it.

So i gave up and am hoping you can help.  i will wait for your response.

Hi BEM, please make sure that you've installed the Little Reader software before you click on your license key link.

The license key stored in your BrillKids Account also serves as a download link for your LR content - it's meant to download and import your content and license key automatically, but it will only work if you already have the software in your computer.
