help creating down loads

I have to admit that I'm pretty computer illiterate. I'd love to try to create a download but am not sure how.  I have an idea, and the appropriate photos but no idea how to put them together to make a file or slide show ( hopefully I'm using the right words and you know what I mean.  

Do I need  a specific computer program?

I am having exactly the same problem - I have the words recorded - have the pics - they show up when I play them - but I just can't figure out how to get the download put together 

It makes me feel very computer illiterate and frustrated with myself  >
Surely it can't be so impossible to achieve when the 'how tos' are there and I thought I had followed them?

If you guys would like to play around and try to create and upload categories, just send me a pm letting me know that you are going to create "test" categories. I will look at them after you upload them and let you know how they look. Everything is really easy once you get the hang of it!

Before too long, we will have a one-click export and upload function directly from Little Reader.

We're also planning on a hand-holding, step-by-step Wizard-style guide to do all basic functions like making your own Categories, etc.

But we'll see whether the latter is necessary or not after the video tutorials come out, because after you see how it's all done exactly on the video tutorials, you should have a very good idea how to do it.

I think my prob is with me... I'm not sure where to look on my computer for the sound files are in relation to the pictures I want to use.... they go fine into the category so I can show them to the kiddos - and I have been recording the voice files using the new recording device that is built in - its wonderful by the way 
I do the import/export bit. It puts up a busy screen for a second when I click export and I can see the file at the other end as it were, it appears that I have got a sound file and a picture file for each tiem on the list... See screen shot. ( I can manage to do a screen shot with no probs sigh)
So I try to upload it to the download area and thats where I come unstuck. I have attached a screenshot of after I click on Browse at the bottom of the screen - can you identify where I am going wrong?

Thanks for your reply, however I have not even gotten that far. I have always done paper flash cards until now.  Do I need the power point program? I would love to contribute but it might just be beyond my knowledge LOL!

You do not need powerpoint unless you are making a ppt category. It can all be done from Little Reader, and it is pretty easy if you follow the directions.
