Is this a bug in LR?

Hi, I have played lesson 133 and when it showed oval they said that the egg is oval. Egg shape is called ovoid not oval. Or you didn't want to go that specific? I have introduced shapes to my daughter some time ago and she knows the difference between oval and ovoid so I have found it disturbing.

Hi lelask, thanks for spotting that one!

It definitely is best to change that particular pic audio to something else, so we will make sure to do that in the next content update.

In the meantime, though, you may go ahead and remove that particular PA so you won't hear it again the next time you play the Shapes category:
 - Go to LR's Advanced Play/Edit screen and select Categories
 - Find the "Shapes" category, select "oval" and then click on the Edit button (the one below the word list)
 - In the Edit Word window, go to the Picture Slide tab and remove the PA that you don't want to use and save your changes

I am having a few issues too where the word is not vocalised randomly or the end of the the word or sentence is cut off.

Also with Donkey it says "donkeys are smaller and shorter than horses except they are smaller and shorter" Makes no sense and is very irritating as it isn't grammatically correct.

Can I correct this?

If there is a discussion on bugs, I will tell what I do not like in LM and LR.
Often I have to stop the session in the middle. I can do it with keyboard (esc) only. I would like to have similar option as in powerpoint - there I can stop the slideshow with mouse right button.

It is because I operate all my education programs with mouse only; keyboard is somewhere where my active kid cannot reach.

For your pronunciation problem, can you kindly tell me which version of the curriculum you have? (Please see this article for help on how to find this: http://support.brillkids.com/entries/20439751-how-to-find-your-brillkids-content-version). If you do not have the latest version of your content file yet (for UK it's ver. 3), I suggest that you download and import the latest version from your Account Management page.

For your sound playback problem, this may get fixed after you get the latest version of your LR content, but if not, it is best to try the Audio Diagnostic Tool. You may find instructions on how to use this tool here: http://support.brillkids.com/entries/20433747-how-to-use-the-audio-diagnostic-tool

Lastly, about the "donkey" picture audio you mentioned, that sounds like a bug because the recording is supposed to say "Donkeys are smaller and shorter than horses" only. For this particular issue we prepared a patch for you, and I will send you the download link for it via PM.

Alternatively, yes, you can simply remove that particular recording or replace it with your own recording if you like. You may follow the same steps from my previous post above (reply to lelask), then go to the "Common Animals 1" category to edit "donkey."

Yes, unfortunately stopping the LR or LM lesson can only be done via the Esc key. We'll see what we can do about using the mouse to stop or exit a lesson, but this will likely come in a software update later (right now the mouse's left and right buttons and the mouse wheel already have their own playback control functions in LR/LM)
