My son is not interested in Sentences in LR. Any tips?

My son loves Little Reader. He enjoys words and couplets. Now we are on semester 2 and sentences are being introduced.
He does not care for them at all. Whenever I showed him lessons with sentences, he either tried to get away or simply told me NO.

What should I do? Any succesfull tips you tried with your little ones?

I printed out the sentences and flashed them to him but he still did not want to look at them. He actually is not into flashcards and thats why I bought LR.

PS He just turned 24 months old and read over 90 single words because of LR.

Just try to add different stuff so he isn't bored and don't stop.  It seems that the most successful parents on this site do lots of different stuff to avoid any impasse and boredom.  Perhaps he just needs a break from LR.  So do other things until he interested again.  I made our own little books staring my daughter.  A sentence (with large print) on one page and a funny drawing on the adjoining page.  You could also tape your words on Lego blocks and build sentences together.  Or change the scenery by bringing the LR lesson to the kitchen table so he can eat while he watches it.  I have even taken complete breaks from lessons.  I'm not sure that I would recommend a break because perhaps we would be further along if we hadn't.   But I lots of successful parents have talked about times when they seemed stuck so I think it is a normal part of the process.  You will find a way around it.  You could even just let him him explore more word categories for awhile if he doesn't want to do sentences.  This way when he is ready he will have a larger vocabulary for more interesting sentences.  I actually just did categories that my daughter liked and skipped the rest.  Then I added fry list words so we had the building blocks to read sentences.  But the point is that there isn't any set right way to go about learning to read.  So if your son is taking a different path for a bit then just teach differently to accommodate it.  Also if you haven't already, you might be interested in reading "How to teach your baby to read" by Glenn Doman.  We even had a copy at my library so I didn't have to buy it.  I think he deals with this issue of being stuck.  Although I don't use his technique, the book is full of good ideas and motivating advice for any teaching style.

Thanks so much for your tips and encouragement!

I have got the book that's why I was interested in teaching my son to read.
The building blocks to read sentences is a really good idea. I will definitely try it with my son. I never thought about taking my laptop to the kitchen and let him watch LR while eating. This is another tip I will try whenever he becomes bored again.

Actually I just discovered a good trick to get him to watch sentence lessons on LR. He loves Ritz crackers. So, every time I want to start the lesson, I will just show him a Ritz bag and
tell him it's time for LR and crackers. He runs to me like a champion. I am able to complete LR/LM lessons in one sitting and It works every time ...
