Just started using Little PIM, spanish, a fews ago. DD (28 months) seems to enjoy it - asks to watch it, will watch it for about 7-10 min. at a time, and it does seem to be reinforcing the words that we see/hear elsewhere.
I like that it comes in many small segments so I can choose to just show 1 or 2 segments at a sitting. An entire DVD is 35 minutes long, which is much too long for my DD current attention span.
I purchased the multi-pack that has 3 DVDs, Music CD and flash cards. The flash cards are not Doman style, just a regular flashcard. I do like the flash card because it helps me remember the spanish words. She asks to listen to the CD ALL the time in the car - I assume eventually she will catch on to the words, but so far she just hums along.
All in all, I would say it is a great secondary tool, however, not a primary tool. I find the LR spanish files are simplier and easier to understand. I'm finding it easier to collect/understand the spanish vocab from LR. I then try to use the words during the day - even if it is mixed with english. Such as "Do you want le leche (milk) in a rosa (pink) or verde (green) vaso (glass)? It does seem to be working and I would estimate that my DD has learned about 100 spanish words in about 3 weeks using a combo of LR, Little Pim, and Mom and Dad using them during the day. However, I would say 90% of the words we learned from LR and only 10% from Little Pim.
