Hi,

I have been looking for CD/DVD... anything with Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in mandarin. I have searched everywhere...youtube, google, local chinese bookstores to the point of nearly giving up.   

My daughter atm is sooo eager to learn this song and had already memorized a few lines from this site:

which sometimes freezes and doesnt work.

So does anybody know where..a site or anything where I can puchase a cd?? Just would prefer to listen to it in the car. Or create a LR song category!!

Now that I would like to print out the numbers and pictures, I have just notice there's no print option like LR! 

Would it be unreasonable to add this option in future upgrades??

From my experience with teaching my daughter to read, I also notice there was a link between when she learns to talk and when he learns to read. At 24 months she was talking in short sentences and she can read a sentence with few words in it by herself. eg I can see a bird flying in the sky. She would be talking like this and her reading would be the same.

She would be overwhelmed with a paragraph even though she knew all the words in it. She will only read a paragraph only when the words are pointed out.

Now she is two and a half and talks quite alot, much like a 4 year old, she can read a book on her own with a condition that the print is not too small.

I dont have a teaching schedule, my schedule is  "follow the child"    and did use the Doman program lightly and completely end the program when she had absolutely no interest in putting words together to make a sentence. So I continued on and off with improving vocabulary with a new word and the meaning or an example the word used in a sentence (used in LR) and lots and lots of reading. I had long reflected on how she learns to read and had notice this link. But this is just my experience.

I have been looking for chinese dvds for my daughter to watch but just dont want to just buy anything. Thanks for your reviews it makes choosing the dvd's much easier. Dora is a good choice but with flashcards its awesome. Just wonder where you got it from??

I am having trouble uploading my files in LR. It seem to happen only with files that contains mp3. There are two .cat files that I cant upload. The uploading seems to go on and on with only the uploading word onscreen but nothing happens.  I have tried uploading 6-7 different time during the day, assuming it might be my internet speed slowing down. 

This is the message I finally got onscreen:

I have a mandarin childrens music CD for sale. There are 2 CDs inside, 40 tracks in total. It is in brand new condition.

If you are teaching your child mandarin this is an excellent cd for exposing your child to learn mandarin through songs.

I went to the Robert Titzer seminar last year and he mention that young babies tell you they know through signals (if they are unable to point ect). He demonstated with a 9 month baby who was at the seminar as the mother asked the same question you did. He showed the baby two cards clap and smile??? and asked her which one is clap. She looked at both cards and went back to the word clap and smiled!

Does anyone know if theres any website/software where I can somehow type a word in english and a chinese equivalent character appears...large enough so I can print out and make it into flash cards for my daughter? Buying them is too costly these days.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated. 

Today has been the fourth day without an afternoon nap. I can see she is tired, rubbing her eyes periodically. She somehow overcomes this tiredness real quick and is ok in a few seconds. Her temperment seems to be quite good for a child who doesnt nap...seems to be holding on quite well! But I know she is tired. Maybe I might try putting in bed anyway but not expect her to sleep but just rest. I still feel she is too young to stop her naps...

I have return "How to teach your baby Maths" book to my local library and cannot recall when to show signs like +, x, /, -. Correct me if I am wrong...is it at the end of the program when I am showing actual numbers solving problems?

Her bedroom has only the alphabet borders around and everything is white...oh and her wardrobe is red...thats the only bright colour.    We have a shelf with all her wooden toys and her books. This I find doesnt help with her sleep as she always wants to read more and more.

Most morning she has activities to attend, either montessori session or kindy gym or library story telling/craft. I take her to the park. I try to do everythign to tire her out when I get her home for her afternoon nap. Although I really think she might not need naps anymore.    She is definitely not whinney, clingy or overtired in anyway. Maybe she will take naps every 4 -5days...I dont know...it's been the first for me..just been so draining. One thing thats fantastic is she now sleeps all night through...approx 12 hours.
