Great job! I know how that feel! My 2.4 yr old just started reading books a few days ago. Those are the first 3 books from starfall. He reads a bit of Peter and Jane too but never the whole book. He often lost interest when he saw trucks in the toyshop. 

Your daughter sounds like mine too.  He does not like to be tested. When I asked him to read to me, he will either refuse to read or gets all dramatic. When he is in a good mood, and want to read, he will just grap a book and read it out lound.

My son is 2.4 years old. I have been showing him Shichida Math on LM. We have completed circle 1, and 2. but I don't know for a fact if my son recognizes any
quantities. He counts 1-30 with skipping here and there. He does know number 0-10, and understand that 2 is more than 1, 4 is more than 3, and etc.

I did not teach my son anything number until he was 2.2 years old.  He counted from 1-10 when he was about 2.3 years old.
Now he can count 1- 30 .....always skips 13, and lots of  randomly skipping from 23-30. 

In addition, the school has full day programs too but I am certain that he is not ready for a full day program. Plus, I still want to continue showing him LR/LM, and  let him enjoy other educational activities in our home.

The main reason he is going to school is to encourage him to be more sociable.

My DS is 2.4 years old. My husband and I are planning to send him to a montessori Preschool this September. I
I am a full time Mom and my son is with me 24/7. He was very independant and was not clingy at all. However, I attended a
how to handle toddler behavior class when he just turned 2. I had to left him with the staff for 2 hours because children were not allowed in the class.
He cried  a lot and since that day, he changed and became very very clingy. He is very attached to me. I have to be within his sight. If I am out of sight,
he is crying Mommy. My husband used to be able to put him to bed but not anymore. He only wants me there in the room with him.
 It's my fault. I should have not left him with strangers when he was not ready for that.  :-(

He is an only child. He is quite shy and does not really know what to do around other kids. He is content playing by himself but we want him to learn how to socialize with other people. So, we think sending him to a preschool is a good option. Because he is so attached to me, I am just not sure what's the best schedule for him.
The school we've chosen has a very flexible schedule. We are looking into 3 half days or 5 half days per week. (9 am - 12 pm)

The 3 half day program could be good because he is not used to being away from me. 3 half days should be a good transition until he is ready for jr. kinderkaten readiness program next September. However, I am worried that the 3 half days may not be enough for him to get used to being away from me for couple hours a day. Maybe the  5 half day program will make him understand that he has to go to school but I am not sure if he is ready for that.    I am so woried and don't know what to do.

I actually am showing LM and Shichida on LM to my son. He is 2.2 years old now. I am a bit skeptical but still keep on doing the programs.

Like Mom2B, I am all ears and would love to hear more from parents out there who have been successful with Doman EK/Math program.

I let him watch TweedleWink in the morning when he has his breakfast.
When he is done, we then move to first sessions of LM/LR/EK/second language lessons all in one sitting.
He sits nicely on my lap as long as I give him Ritz crackers  .

lelask, I like the little bell idea! I never thought about that but I think my son will ring it all night  . He is quite a handful and often have that "mischeivous" look on his face when he is up to no good. 

Actually, we used to let him sleep in our bed but my son did not sleep well neither. He moved, tossed and turned all night. It was hard on my husband so I decided to sleep with my son in his room. He actually likes his bedroom. We have bed time routine and have been following the same schedule every night. I sometimes think he was just born a bad sleeper!

Anyway, he slept on his own bed last night. He woke a few times and looked for me. I think he just wanted to make sure that I was still in the room with him. I am now back to square one, laying a mattress on the floor and sleeping besides his bed (did this a months ago).  I will try to move my mattress a little further from his bed next week.

I hope he stays in his bed tonight.

I actually have this book somewhere in my house  . I bought it when my son was around 3 months old. He is not a good sleep and has been like this since day 1.    I will take a look at the book again and see what it has to say about toddler sleeping suggestions.

I have been co-sleeping with my son since he was around 5 months old. We have been sleeping on a mattress in his bedroom while husband sleeps in our bedroom. I co-sleep with my son because he wakes several times at night. I was hoping that co-sleeping would help him slept better. Boy, was I ever wrong! He still wakes a few times and gets used to having me in his bed and was really upset when he did not see me when he is up. I don't think hunger is an issue because he eats, and drink before he goes to bed. Plus, I am a full time mom and he has me all day, and night! I used to be worried about his health issues like ear infections and all that but his doctor has told us he is a normal healthy toddler.

He is 2.2 years old now and still wakes at least twice a night. We bought him a nice race car bed which he does love. We encourage him to sleep on his big boy bed. I started off with sleeping with him on his bed, then besides his bed, and gradually move away from his bed. He did well and would go to sleep on his bed. He still woke and looked for me during the night. I was so hopeful and looking forward to a good sleep for both of us. During this last few nights, he just did not want to sleep alone in his bed any more. He wanted me to sleep with him "on his race car bed". He would cry until I gave up, and ended up sleeping on his bed with him. When I was on his bed, he would immediately settle down to sleep.

I cannot let him cry it out and now looking for ways to get him to sleep alone. Anybody has the same experiences? Any successful tips?

Please share your experiences and I am open for any suggestions.

I need my sleep, and of course my husband is not very happy that we are sleeping in separate bedrooms for over 2 years.

I am just wondering if any of you use iPad to teach your children music. I am clueless when it comes to music but I really want to teach my son about music. He is 2.2 years old and I am not sure if he is ready for a software like Piani Wizard.

I just downloaded TrebleKids app and will show it to my son tomorrow. i know the apps things are not perfect ways to teach my son music but I just hope that he will have fun learning or playing with.

Do you know of other good music education apps?
