Hi, here is a quick update.
We are still awaiting our placement as a Brillkids Partner ...apparently there have been a few technical gremlins.
As soon as they have been resolved Dr Jones will be presenting a live online demonstration aimed specifically at Brillkid members & the Early Learning part of our curriculum. If you miss it live we will be recording it & it will be available by request.
In the meantime we have held open the discounted rates for Brillkids members.

Chris- I just posted some more ways we are practicing with the matrix in the other thread. We are still early in the steps but Lily is enjoying placing dots in multiple ways and singing her numbers 0-20 and down again. We are working at it!

Thanks for the update. Great that Lily is enjoying our course ...well done & keep up the wonderful work that you are doing. We supply the courses & direction but it is the love & time put in by the parents / teachers that really makes the difference.

Chris, that's great news!

As you probably know, I started Matrix Math with my daughter Ella about 2 months ago. I have to admit that I haven't been as consistent as I would like but, most days, I am able to work with her for about 15-20 minutes after getting home from work. She has progressed steadily and has completed the Dot Matrix 4's worksheets. She can't write the answers properly yet but I have her choose her answer from a set of number stamps, stamp in her answer, and then trace it with her pencil. I tried to advance her to the Dot Matrix 10's but, due to her age and attention span (she is only 28 months), she's not able to complete the 10 problems in one sitting. My question is: should I break up the 10 problems into smaller chunks that she can solve as her attention span would allow? Should I just have her re-do the 4's worksheets? She has obviously gotten the concept of addition and subtraction already and I don't want to be repeating material with the risk of boring her or making it not fun for her anymore. She is the kind of child who hates being tested on things that she knows already - she will either refuse to answer or deliberately give the wrong answer. How important is it for kids at this age to complete the worksheets under the time limit before progressing to the next steps (multiplication, division, matrix three??)

Every child is different, so there is no hard & fast rule. In an ideal world you should work with your child 4 / 5 times a day in 5 to 10 minute segments depending on the child's attention span, you should see progress. More if you can, your child's attention span will determine the pace.

Firstly well done with the progress achieved so far
You do not have to go over the 4's again as your child understands them. The 10's can be cut down to six questions when they are completed to your satisfaction cut to eight question, then you can move onto the ten questions.
There is not limit until you get to 50's, then the 20 minute time limit should be achieved before moving to Math 3.
