All my close friends are Aunties and all associates are Mrs. and Mr. It wasn't really a decision that I made, but it was what felt comfortable to me at the time of introduction.

EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child - Signing, Speaking, Languages / Re: Same DVD different language

I actually have little pim in several languages and my little one asks for all of them at different times. I am planning on purchasing the german and russian version of little pim, but for now I have material that I am teaching him in those languages so I will focus on those first then move on to little pim when we have learned all the material. I had similar worries when I started getting more and more little pim in different languages, but when my son enjoys something he will watch it, so it never stayed an issue. When we are watching a particular one, for know which one I was going to play. Because I use sign to connect the different languages I also would sit and watch the videos with him and sign as much as I could throughout the video. Now that he has been watching them for a little while he will watch it with my older children and they will repeat and/or sign what they hear and it never fails that he always has to ask for either an apple, banana, water, or milk whenever he watches it He has been exposed to all of the languages that I purchased, so he knows what he wants to watch and in what language when I ask him. Hope this helps and take care!!! Yes, Netflix has spanish, french, and mandarin.

I bought the program not too long ago and so far I really like it. Because I am still waiting on my usb cable I have only been able to play some of the games, but I did meet with one of the doremifasoft teachers from the website, Juliann French, and along with an introduction to the program we also were able to experience the actual songs from the playlist. The thing that sold me to the program was the different levels that the program has and the method used to introduce those interested to the piano. I have always wanted to learn and this program makes it so easy for me to do along with my son. He loves playing the games and asks for "piano" every chance he gets. He is getting the hang of the games and getting better and better the more he plays them, but we also do finger exercises just on the keyboard to get him familiar with the sounds, do re mi fa so la ti do, and getting him comfortable with using all of his fingers to play. I played my first song along with my son for the first time with Juliann and I knew from that point that with consistency and hardwork we both would learn how to play fluently using this program. We keep our lessons short so that he stays interested and when we aren't having a lesson he spends his time creating his own music It will be a slow progress for us do to our schedule, but I have already seen results with my little one and so I know it will only get better with time Just my two cents, hope this helps Take Care and Happy Teaching!!!

Isa- I am definitely interested in exchanging material with you and I have already e-mailed you at the address listed above. The more help the better:)
For those interested, I contacted a lady named Matina who created german cds that she is selling to help support her family. She is currently adding sound to the two cds and the first will be done in a few weeks. I believe she took the doman approach and started at single words and progressed to sentences. I will double check to make sure, but PM if you are interested and I will let you know when it comes out. I also invited her to the site, so maybe if she gets a chance we will see her around.
Take Care and I hope this helps!! Bye
