Thanks for bringing this topic. Storytelling and acting is a very efficient way of developing creative thinking skills. I remember my grandson acting the different animals walking styles while singing 'El bosque de la amistad'. He was 2 year old at this time. At 4 yrs and 8 month he narrated  'Caperucita Roja' to her cousin, my 8 month old grandaughter. Now, my grandaughter at 2.5 yrs enjoys telling us the story of 3 little Pigs and the Bad Wolf..
A different skill related to thinking is what i experience this week with my grandson. Being in kindergarter he is not yet doing much addition. Nonetheless he proudly told me he could add 'big nimbers'. He said 32 + 32 = 64. I was impress in the way he describe learning that. It did not came from sckool nor his parents. He just reason that 30 + 30 was 60 and 2+ 2 was 4 so the sum was 64. My son ask other examples and he got them right. Maybe our friend from brillkid are not surprise about this cause babies are expose to numbers very early but not being this the case with him, i was really amazed.!

I am using LR on the IPAD but would like to be able to show my presentations and not only the curriculum. Do you have any idea when will this be possible?

I will like to know if you specialize in teaching kids or adults?
I tried to show the soroban to my 4 year old grandson but he did notsbow interest. Do you have any tips tomake it attractive for him? He turn 5 yrs 2 weeks ago and knows the numbers and likes to be ask simple addition questions.

I do not understand. Since it was free, i instaled the master soroban. To my surprise there were english words. So i went to 'how to' but it show a you tube in japanese.
Then i saw begginers and grade 10 but both ask me to buy the app.
Did you guys bought any of this? Are they good.
What i want is something to practice since i read about the theory.

BTW Maquenzie, glad to see that Alpacas teach abacus. Since they are from Peru and i am peruvian also, i guess it is a good sign. Don't you think so too?  Jajaja.

I found master soroban but could not  understand a thing.  How do i get to the english version?

Do anyone know if there are soroban teachers speciallu for kids in Lima Peru?

My grandson used to watch it and even though they spell the word telling the letters instead of the sound, i think it was good for him that already knew the letters name ( ABC's). He was between 3 and 4 yrs old. Definitely he learned a lot of english vocabulary. The program was a mix of spanish with the words formed mentioned in english. He prefered it that way than all in english (which we could also set).
Now he sometimes play this app on the ipad.

I found a free app but am not sure how good it is. Are you using ipad for practicing abacus operations for kids or adults?

Aangeles, congrats to you and ella. She is really gifted as demostrated. What an inspiration. I was afraid that using the abacus would create a certain dependancy on the physical instrument but as i understood after some time, they start visualizaing it.

Congratulations to You for such wonderfull results. I think there are many LR users that as you started not really convinced that their child would read so fast and are surprised when they do. We have never test my grandaughter but just seeing how happy she gets when we play the lessons is rewarding.
