Well I still haven't decided to go for a second one as I am not sure whether I would be able to devote so much time for the second one.  I want to start working when my son is 3 and goes to school.  From what I observed single child usually shed their childish tones and start behaving like an adult, if they are spending time more time with adults.  Once they start schooling, these problems just wade off.  Again its a matter of personal choice.  Just go through the thread and I hope it will help you.

OK this is what I did.  I went to their home page.  There is an " enter a word or phrase" tab.  Here I entered a word and clicked search, which took me to another page with definition and pronunciation.  There was an audio symbol near the word.  I tried right clicking and save target as, but it was saved as an html page.  If I click it open i get that respective page.  I still can't download it as an audio file.  Now how to go about with it?

Now we are doing couplets with colors and opposites alongside with words as GD refers to introduce toddlers to couplets, phrases, and sentences quickly.  I am also doing some categories in LR which I find in his books and I introduce them alongside with the book.  I feel that he catches up quickly this way.  I have uploaded all the categories I made for my son.  Good luck in teaching your baby,

This is how I went about my 2 yr old.  I started off Step 1 with dots using dots 1-100 ppt.  I would make a custom show in powerpoint with 1 to 5 slides and name it Day 1 and so on.  You can add sound files to this slides.  Try this site for sound files.

I had uploaded the schedule I followed in My doman math schedule thread.  I think you might have gone through it.  Arrange the slides in such a way that when dots are shown, the voice over also runs along.  I used to tell the number as the slides move on.  But with my son, I couldn't get further than 25 dots.  So I tried to use different icons for addition.  I have attached one I made.  I have come across posts telling that you need to show only slides and there is no need for "plus" and "equals" signs, but I used it so that he gets an idea of whats going on.  As the numbers were getting bigger, it was getting difficult to keep the exact number of icons on the slides, so I shifted to LM.

When you are finished with division, start three step equations with one function like 1+3+5 for a week and proceed to three step equations with different functions like 1+3-5 for a week, follow it with multi-step equations 1*5+3-2/3 for a week.  Proceed to greater than less than, equality and inequality, fractions, sequences, numbers, and so on.

As for using ppts, I would suggest you go through the number of dots before you begin as some slides have one dot extra in some ppts.

I am so happy to find this thread.  You referred me as your 'soul sister' in one of your posts, I was so touched.  IMO the age of the child matters.  Some DVD's work for some kids, while it falls flat with some.  If you are trying to teach reading then I would suggest to go for YBCR.  I would also suggest Leapfrog letter factory to learn the alphabets and its sounds.  After your kid has mastered it, I would suggest to go for Preschool prep sight words vol 1- 3.  I have and am using this with my kid and have had good results.  Try what you think will suit your child.  I usually show videos of programs from youtube to my kid and if he is interested I go forward with buying it.  Trust your instincts.  Nobody knows your child better than you do.

You haven't mentioned how old your kid is.  I stay @ B'lore and I don't give any diary products or milk as I have found most of them are not fresh.  When my son turned 2, I started him on Pediasure, Vanilla.  Its a little expensive than most other nutritional powders, but worth it.  It has all the ingredients needed for growing children and there is no need to add milk.

Sorry about that error, I am not able to figure out what went wrong.  Here is how I found it.

In the forum main page, on top tool bar, near to Home, You can find Little learner library.  Click on that and choose English downloads.  Little reader library home opens and you will find a download search box with title highlighted.  Just enter YBCR and click on search.  You can find the files.
